I was fortunate to be raised in a home that was supportive of my interest in music. My father was a musician and a photographer, and he kept a vast and varied collection of vinyl in the house. As a child, I was fascinated by album art. My ears were shaped by the many genres that spun on our turntable, and I came to know and love music through the sounds of those recordings. Later, as I became more serious about playing the drums, I gravitated to the journeymen/session elite who (more often than not) appeared in the credits of my favorite recordings; from them I continue to learn that when it comes to making music, sound and feel trump all.

I began my career as a drummer in 1994, and have been a fortunate sideman and leader based out of my hometown of Phoenix, AZ ever since. I am equally drawn to both lyrics and melody, and I really enjoy working behind great singers in support of great songs. I also enjoy the engineering aspect of both live sound and studio mixing. Music continues to take me places and introduce me to people that I would most likely otherwise miss. I am grateful for the opportunity to earn my way from behind the drums, and I intend to keep on playing for as long as I am able. Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to drop me a line and say hello anytime...
